da Black Mask hype

SHILLS Purifying Peel-Off Black Mask πŸ˜±πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ
So this Black Mask hype was going around especially on social media, and I've been flicking through a stream of videos featuring women looking like they're peeling the skin off their face as if that much pain this mask caused them trying to take it off. Although they all seemed very impressed with the result, personally it just seemed a little scary and especially with my sensitive skin type, I just thought "naaaah". [Spoke too soon] ... Next thing you know, a delivery comes through to my house, and my sister giving in to the powers of advertising has already purchased one. Sharing rooms with her and all, if this product is like there in front of my face, I just had to try it! 😭 Plez don't judge meh!

About the product
Right, so abit about this product.. SHILLS Purifying Peel-Off Mask is a carbon black full-face mask used to remove acne-causing oil on forehead, nose, chin, and blackheads. Shills says it’ll remove fine facial hair too. To purify skin, it removes old cell tissue and excessive sebum. The formula is a tar-like texture that is thick and gooey. It's instructed that you steam your face before you try it for best results. To use it, you simply apply a  thick, opaque, even layer to clean, dry skin (avoiding eye area, eyebrows, hairline and lips obvs) Leave on for 30 minutes or until completely dry and then peel off.

Application
I had a nice, long bath that afternoon anyway so my skin felt nice and fresh. I soaked my face-towel in hot water and patted it around my face to steam it up a little. I washed out my makeup brush and used that to brush it on covering my face as instructed. It dries down to a very TIGHT feeling as if you can't move your skin but I wouldn't say it's not comfortable feeling, mainly just a weird one. Here's a selfie of me brushing the gooey goodness on. ew lols.

!!Peeling it off!!
So after it dried out, I stretched my face around a little as I found that it did loosen the mask in some areas making the peeling-off process slightly easier. Not going to lie, the mask IS painful to remove. Not so much as scary from watching all those videos on Instagram and that. It was abit like pulling a band aid off or a wax strip, it kinda felt the same but a little less pain is involved in my opinion. It basically adheres to skin like glue so removing it can burn a bit and sting as you slowly ease it off. Me being me, I just yanked it off most areas lol.. it was quicker and less painful ok 😢. Since my skin is quite sensitive, it did leave my face pretty red and tingly but bit of moisturiser was enough to get the skin back in shape again. And excess bits of the mask that was hard to peel off, I just used some luke-warm water to wash it off. To be honest, I don't know why the peeling-off pain was such a hype. Anyone who has a low threshold for pain would obviously cry about it, but my experience was not bad.

Results
The mask promises to deep clean your skin while clearing out pores and removing blackheads and yes it will do all of that. It made my face feel squeaky clean and the next day my makeup seemed to apply smoothly.
But looking at the bigger picture, from what I saw that came onto the residue of the mask was mainly my facial hair...
In other words, I’d spent 40 minutes of this whole process giving myself a painful and unnecessary face wax. And now watching these continuing stream of video reviews on social media with women still screaming β€œMy skin is so smooth!!!” Like of course it’s smooth, you just ripped off most of
your hair!

~ So, to my younger sissy poo shishtaaa Ruji Puji, if you're reading this: HAH! wot a waste of £12 u iz a sthoopeed gyal. Ly 😚
